How to Raise a Complaint

Last updated: October 2026

We want every homeowner who reaches Mistakecharacter Heating & Air to be treated fairly and honestly. If something went wrong, tell us. This page shows how to file a complaint and what happens after. It is a general template. It is not legal advice.

What You Can Tell Us About

You can write to us about:

  • Your experience when you called or contacted Mistakecharacter Heating & Air
  • The way your personal information was handled
  • Anything on this site that seems unclear or wrong
  • The conduct of a provider we connected you with

If the Problem Is With a Provider

Providers in our network are independent businesses. Each one is responsible for its own estimates, pricing, equipment, warranties, work, and customer service. If you have a problem with work in your home, start by raising it with the provider directly. Keep a written record as you go.

We still want to hear about it. Your feedback helps keep our network honest. A provider that keeps falling short of our expectations may be removed from the network. Please know that Mistakecharacter Heating & Air cannot settle contract disputes, handle warranty claims, refund a provider's work, or make decisions for a provider.

How to File

Email contact@mistakecharacter.lat and include:

  • Your name and how to reach you
  • The date you contacted us or the provider
  • The phone number you called or the form you used, if you remember
  • The provider's name, if you know it
  • A clear account of what happened and what outcome you want

After You Write

We will confirm we got your complaint by email, usually within a few business days. Then we will look into what happened. That may include reaching out to the provider. Finally, we will reply with what we found and any steps we are taking.

Still Not Happy?

If our answer does not satisfy you, reply and ask us to take another look. You can also contact your state's consumer protection office or attorney general, or your local Better Business Bureau. For issues with an HVAC contractor, your state's contractor or mechanical licensing board may be able to help too.
